EL PASO, TEXAS – November 13, 2013 – CF Jordan Construction has begun work as Construction Manager-at-Risk on a new Distribution Operations Center for El Paso Electric, the regional electric utility providing generation, transmission and distribution service to approximately 392,000 retail and wholesale customers in a 10,000-square-mile area of the Rio Grande valley in west Texas and southern New Mexico.

The scope of work on the 45-acre site development includes a 96,640-square-foot Operations Facility hosting offices and testing areas, a 24,244-square-foot Fleet Services Facility with work bays and fabrication areas, and a 28,758-square-foot Warehouse with additional office space.

The new Operations Center will allow EPE to consolidate employees and work groups from several separate locations into one centralized area to better serve the needs of its customers. Approximately 235 employees from EPE units such as such as Transmission, Substations, Relay and Distribution, Warehouse and Fleet Services will report to this location.

Project completion is targeted for the second quarter of 2015.
