Jordan Foster Infrastructure Pflugerville broke ground on September 8th on the new segment of roadway that will eventually connect Highway 29 with I-35 near the south edge of the City of Georgetown. Segment I, the new two-lane roadway project, will eventually tie in to the segment of the Southwest Bypass that Infrastructure is currently building. The scope of work also includes the construction of a new bridge.

Once completed, the Southwest Bypass will also connect to SE Inter Loop, and will provide an alternative for drivers seeking to avoid heavy traffic on I-35, as part of a broader plan to create a westward route allowing drivers to bypass the freeway.

Jordan Foster’s work on the Southwest Bypass, a new roadway from IH 35 to RM 2243, has been underway since 2016. Ground broke last summer on the Southwest Bypass & Wolf Ranch Parkway Extension, a roadway from Leander Road to the Wolf Ranch Parkway extension, which will create a new route to Highway 29 via D.B. Wood Road.

Josh Little is the Project Manager on the job, and Jose Rivas is the Superintendent.

Congratulations to everyone involved in securing and now working on this additional new Southwest Bypass project!
