Jordan Foster Concrete has recently secured the contract for NM 136, the Pete Domenici Highway in Santa Teresa, from the New Mexico Department of Transportation. NM 136 is a four-lane, divided highway, which connects Interstate 10 with the Santa Teresa Port of Entry border crossing, and provides access to Doña Ana County Airport.
The scope of work for the NM 136 project entails total reconstruction of the highway, installing 9.5 inches of concrete paving, in lieu of asphalt. That totals 366,000 square yards of continuously reinforced concrete paving, which includes 100,000 cubic yards of concrete and 11,000,000 pounds of rebar. An additional 84,000 linear feet of curb will be installed adjacent to the concrete paving.
Work will commence on February 1, 2018, with a targeted completion date of December 31, 2019.
Manny Ceniceros and Joseph Ureno will serve as Project Managers on NM 136, with Mike Bradford serving as Superintendent, and Mary Guerrero, Juliana Lopez, and Kammy Villalobos serving as the Administrative Assistants on the project.
Congratulations to everyone involved in securing this great new project!
