Plan, direct and coordinate, through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction of multi-family residential facilities.  Provide overall management direction for field projects.  Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of the on-site Superintendent.  Define the construction project’s objectives, and oversee the project’s organization, scheduling (using P6 software), budgeting, and implementation.  Plan, organize and staff key field positions.  Acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.  Execute and finalize construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.  Represent company in project meetings and assist in negotiations and strategy meetings.  Negotiate and buyout all subcontracts, service agreements and purchase orders.  Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interests.  Oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle, supervising correct implementation of the 3-Phase Inspection process by the field team.  Utilize CmiC Construction Management software to manage/coordinate the construction process.  Monitor and assure compliance with all building and safety codes, safety program requirements, and project procedures.  Generate and approve payment applications, change orders and purchase orders.  Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and/or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.

 

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering plus 5 years experience as a Construction Project Engineer and/or Assistant Construction Project Manager and/or Construction Project Manager; or in the alternative, Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management plus 3 years experience as a Construction Project Engineer and/or Assistant Construction Project Manager and/or Construction Project Manager.

 

Requires working knowledge of P6 (scheduling software).
